Don’t be too quick to update that brass faucet Yes, the metal that dated so many bathrooms appears to be making a strong comeback in home design circles. The use of mixed metals in kitchens and bathrooms is gaining traction as is evident in these pictures with brushed brass, copper and stainless all cohabiting.
Old school forced us to match everything in a harmonious and flowing way. The new train of thought is that sometimes too much matching is not a good thing and we should mix it up. Create an upscale look with brushed nickel and soft brass.
I believe the key to brass integration is moderation! Start small with some door knobs and pulls. Then once you’re comfortable with that concept add in a light fixture or some bar stools. Nothing too “Austin Powerish” Yeah Baby 😉
